Ernestine Carballo Recently Got Awarded: Winner of the National Soca Song Competition 2011, Carnival Road March Song of 2010/ 2011, Artist of the Year 2011/2012, No.1 Break out Tune 2010 and 2011, Best Soca Artist 2011/2012,Best Soca Song of 2011-2012 and Honoree of 2011/ 2012.. she recently came home from a 3 months European Tour with the “Belize National Dance Company”. Ernestine was born in Belize City, Belize on November 19th, 1983, to the beautiful Parents, Ernesto and Therese Lightburn Carballo. On one of the biggest celebrations in Belize "Garifuna settlement day."
And at age four (4) her mom took her to drumming ceremonies, so it was from then that the little princess learned to dance and sing on her toes........
Ernestine Carballo has 14 brothers.
In1997 Ernestine Hit the stage with the first Belizean Artist Group Called (YAA) Young Artist Association with William Neal and the M'D dance Group of hip-hop, Rap,dhall...Then in 1999...She took training with Mrs Brenda Armstrong in the Wesley College Choir when she attended the very Intelligent/Super Talented High School of all times.....Ernestine From Since That day was never the same as she always leads her choir with soprano high hitting keys...... Then in July 2003 Ernestine Swept the Entire audience all over the Globe With her Beautiful Voice and Karisma on KTV Held @ The Calypso(Princess Hotel Casino) For 3 weeks in a row she won with her Alicia Keys Renditions.....That same year Ernestine took center stage with Belize SoundFest 2009-2012....for Belizean Musician/Artist Pass and Present......
